Each one is hand made to order her at FJ-HQ and the size is determined by the ships name but in general a name with 8-10 letters is going to be about 18” long by 4” wide. Made from real Walnut with chrome effect lettering these are fantastic high quality items and well worth the price.
The wood is professionally plained and sanded by a time served craftsman. The bevelled edge is added and the whole thing is then given several coats of satin varnish to seal the wood and prep it for the lettering. The letters are about 1” square and are added to the wood by supper strong adhesives. The finished item can be used indoors or outdoors as a result.
Each ships name is hand made using Chrome effect lettering 2cm wide. The letters are then mounted onto the appropriate length of GENUINE 100% WALNUT wood which has been treated and carved using a professional router (pronounced ROWTER) giving it an attractive finish.
These would make great door signs for associations or group or you could have the set of each ship that you served on.
